Houdini is a powerful software that allows users to create super-complex models in a very short amount of time. It focuses mainly on procedural modeling and this feature distinguishes it from other 3D computer graphics programs. It is a dream software for FX departments, but in recent years architects have also become interested in it. This is a beginners workshop that takes participants on a journey into the complex but exciting world of Houdini. The two-day workshop provides participants with useful information about generating simulations and shows them how they can be implemented in an architectural design process. The goal for each student is to gain knowledge about the interface, learn some basic and intermediate workflows, and also to give them access to guidelines for efficient working within the software.
